The venue:

A minimal, modern farmhouse

A gorgeous day with the perfect weather! Wedding days can be unpredictable, in more ways than one. We were thankful for the beautiful weather, perfect lighting, and most importantly—incredible people!

This venue is one of my favorites because of how crisp the white and black look in both real life and in pictures! Keep scrolling and you’ll see more of this beautiful venue throughout each photo! When I remember this day, it will be marked by one word: worship. Haley and Michael were the absolute sweetest and kindest humans! Truly an honor to capture some footage of their wedding day!

Getting Ready:

Girls just want to have fun

Steam from the steamer, sweet smells of perfume, and the slightly burnt hairs from the curling iron all filled the room. From laughter to shared secrets and T-swift jams, getting ready with these bridesmaids was a time of joy and camaraderie. The loose hairs, the accidental fold of the train, the sweat beads rolling down your nose—all addressed and fixed by your people! How incredible it is to have people who are caring for the details. They will be vital to both your life and marriage!

The First Look:

Watching sparks fly

Their first look was one for the books. Still wondering if I should have been present or not, because it was intensely intimate. Those very first glances at each other will melt me every single time.

Special moments such as these are a favorite because almost every time first looks happen, the results are candid. It’s of utmost importance to NOT interrupt the first look/first touch! Just let it happen. And be there to document it all.

And now for the parents…

The Ceremony:

A moment where time stood still

A handsome groom, suave in his tux. A stunning bride, adorned in her wedding dress. Both have long awaited this moment of their union. Many details, hours of planning, all pointing to this moment of pure connection. Voices and melodies filled this room with praises as hearts moved, overfilled with joy!

And a beautiful ceremony space! Sun rays pierced through the windows allowing the perfect lighting for the perfect moments! I must also mention, I had to get real limber 😅 to squeeze between the A/C unit and climb a quite narrow staircase to get that shot. Good thing I’m a pretty slim guy 🤣. That was a joke, because I am in fact, NOT a slim fellow. Anywhos, enjoy these photos :)

The people:

Making the memories last forever

A joyful and playful group to photograph! Wedding party photos remain a top 2 favorite time of the wedding day. Sure, at times annoyingly chaotic, but with the right group, a party of a photo session. The laughs, antics, the joy—all describe the time together with this bunch!

The Reception:

Making memories

A celebration indeed! First, can we take a moment for this setup? Long tables at receptions are a personal favorite of mine. They create a more familial vibe. It’s the-everyone has a seat at the table-we are all family-pass the rolls-kinda vibe. With the entrance of the newlyweds comes many firsts! First couples’ dance, first announcement as a new couple, first official combined family meal. All celebrated and cherished together as one. A sweet time.

Brick-oven pizza, cold beers, and smiling faces are all signs of a good night! This wedding day ended with a party and a cute, and tasty, cake! Some people aren’t fans of wedding cake, or cake in general. And we still love those people, even though they are wrong. I am passionate about a good wedding cake! I’m still single, buuut thinking ahead to my own wedding day (in 5-7 years…or something like that😅), I am most excited about cake testing haha. Is that weird? Idk…doesn’t matter lol.
